Easter Weekend

 

I was so grateful for the long weekend last week. Especially since both of my classes were canceled last Thursday. I feel like I am on my second round of midterms, with three exams and a paper due. During the long weekend, I was able to catch up on some homework from spring break and pick up a few extra shifts at work.

On Thursday, I ended up still driving to the college to work at my on-campus job in the engineering college. My supervisor normally works remotely, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays, she works in the office, so I was able to chat with her and get multiple projects finished that required her help. After working, I finished my accounting group project and studied for our quiz on Saturday.

Next, on Friday, I was able to pick up a shift at work, and I spent time with my family since they had the day off for Good Friday. I also work at a coffee shop in my hometown, and the store was very busy that day since the high schoolers were coming back from their spring break trips and many businesses had the day off.

Saturday, I did homework all day. I finished a paper for my Career Planning class and took my accounting quiz, since it is online. I also helped my parents work in our yard while the weather was still nice, to get all of our plants ready for spring. My sister worked that morning, so in the evening we were able to spend time watching movies and playing some games.

Lastly, on Sunday, we went to church, and my mom ended up taking my grandma to visit my aunt in Dayton . My sister and I both picked up shift at work since we would get time and a half for the Holiday. Surprisingly, the store was pretty slow that afternoon. After my shift, I got my grandmas flowers and headed to my grandma’s house for dinner with my uncle and aunt on my dad’s side. This year, my family kind of split up for Easter because my aunt is a stage manager for musicals, and the play she was working with had a few shows in Ohio, and my mom and grandma always drive to see her when she is close, but in whole, it was a pretty good weekend.
